Some people still believe that all vehicles need the oil changed every 3,000 miles. That is no longer true. Many vehicles don’t need the oil changed for over 7,000 miles. Many newer cars have a light that will tell the driver when it is time for the oil to be changed.
Another engine oil myth surrounds synthetic oil. Some mistakenly believe that if you use synthetic oil once that you always have to use it. Others believe that synthetic oil will make a car leak oil. Synthetic oil is perfectly fine to use in all vehicles with no problems.
