At some point in time, vehicle owners endure the frustration of a dead battery. However, in most instances, the battery can be revived by being using the power from another vehicle. The front of the other vehicle needs to be as close as possible to the front of your vehicle. Nose to nose parking is recommended. Both engines need to be turned off and the transmissions in the park position. Put the positive end of the battery jumper cable on the positive post of the dead battery. Apply the other positive end to the positive post of the other vehicle. Repeat the process with the negative cable ends. Start the engine of the vehicle having a good battery. Let the vehicle run for a couple of minutes. Try to restart the vehicle with the dead battery. Remove the cables. If unsuccessful after three tries, contact one of our Landmark Cadillac technicians.
